I Tried...

So I wore this to a job interview at a department store who shall remain nameless today. I didn't get the job. No one wants to hire only for the summer. And I don't like to lie to people. So this wasn't exactly a good day at all. But it was a pretty good outfit.

As you can see I was still smiling before I left for the interview. Maybe I'll get the hang of this with another job.

It Looks Like the Sun is Tickling Me!

I have kind of fallen in love with my new spring skirt. And I'm trying to get better at remixing pieces I alreay have so I don't have to shop all the time. Because, let's face it, even though I WANT to shop ALL THE TIME, I just don't have the cash. Perhaps this will change after the addition of a summer job to my life. Hint. Hint. Hire me?

And I realize my legs look totally weird, but it is SUCH a nice skirt, isn't it? I actually wore all this to a final exam today. My friends all wondered why I bothered getting dressed up. teehee. Because sometimes that's the only way to have a good day. 

Drama Prom 2010!

Drama Prom was upon us last night! The theatre department at IU throws a huge gala for all the leaving seniors and all the celebrating underclassmen at the end of the year complete with fanciness, awards and even an open bar...which got a FEW friends of mine into trouble.

...and then there was actually going to the event! (The boyfriend himself couldn't show up because he was actually in a show. You'd think the theatre department would schedule their biggest event around community performances...)

And then here's a pretty great shot from the end of the evening: the tradition of jumping in the fountain together in the middle of campus!

I'm so glad this exists to erase and replace all of the lameness of high school proms!!!

A Few Things That Make Me Smile...

Let's just start this off in a good place... 
My last blogging attempt failed because I didn't stick with it. 
That's hilarious, because I've kept an actual journal on paper for TEN YEARS straight. 


But here are a few things that have kept me going through real-life, so they should be good luck for blog-life, too.

1. Finding ACTUAL Disco Sticks to take a ride on with my roommate, Alana!

2. Our house's cat, Rupert!

3. Enjoying the seasons with my boyfriend, James

4. Taking ridiculous adventures into places I shouldn't with my friend, AJ!

5. Seeing a neighbor's snowman who wants to be your friend!

6. Restaurants that give our dinosaurs to play with during your lunch

7. Unexpected Visitors.

8. Taking Care of Jean Paul Marat onstage for months!

9. Spending an otherwise boring spring break finding out that a friend's dad breeds ostriches?!

10. Dressing up for a murder mystery dinner party with my roommate, Sam

11. Festive Loos. 

12. End of the year Banquets and Formal Events!

13. Keeping in touch with OLD friends

14. Sam's clay tigers for directing class that attack in the night!

15. Summer is finally here!!!

So I hope that this will be a good beginning to many, many good days in the future!
